On 1st March, meteorological spring officially began across the UK — and here in Bedfordshire, that seasonal shift is already noticeable.

Brighter mornings in Bedford. Longer daylight hours in Ampthill. Stronger sunlight pouring into homes across Flitwick and Harpenden.

It’s the point in the year when interiors start to feel different. Lighter, yes — but sometimes warmer, brighter and more exposed too.

At Patternmatch Interiors, spring is the ideal time to rethink how your home looks and feels — combining the practical benefits of the Luxaflex Spring Sale with fresh seasonal design inspiration like Moon Daisies wallpaper.

Why Spring Is the Smartest Time to Upgrade Your Blinds

Across Bedfordshire, modern homes increasingly feature:

Bi-fold and sliding patio doors

Roof lanterns and glazed extensions

South-facing glazing

Open-plan kitchen-living spaces

They look beautiful in spring light — but as we move towards April and May, solar gain builds quickly.

The right Luxaflex blinds can:

✔ Reduce glare during brighter mornings ✔ Help manage indoor temperatures naturally ✔ Protect furnishings from UV fade ✔ Improve privacy without losing daylight

And with motorised options available in the Spring Sale, managing light becomes effortless — particularly for larger windows or hard-to-reach glazing.

Planning in March means you’re prepared before summer demand peaks.

Moon Daisies – A Gentle Floral for Spring Bedrooms

Spring isn’t just about managing light — it’s about mood.

Few patterns feel as quietly optimistic as a small-scale floral. Moon Daisies is a timeless bedroom choice, particularly in the tranquil Garden colourway.

Its delicate print introduces nature indoors without overwhelming the space. In twin bedrooms especially, it creates:

A restful, nurturing feel

A soft connection to the outdoors

Subtle character without heaviness

A scheme that feels calm all year round

Unlike larger statement florals, the smaller print keeps the atmosphere serene — perfect for children’s rooms, guest bedrooms or anyone craving a gentler backdrop.

When paired with carefully selected blinds, the result is a balanced space: beautifully styled, yet practical for changing seasonal light.

A Coordinated Spring Interior Refresh

The real difference comes when shading and decoration are considered together.

Imagine:

Soft green Moon Daisies walls. Filtered daylight through Luxaflex blinds. A bedroom that feels calm in the morning and comfortable by afternoon.

Rather than treating wallpaper and window treatments as separate decisions, Patternmatch Interiors works with homeowners across Bedfordshire to create cohesive schemes that feel considered from every angle.

Spring is when many of us begin planning projects that add joy and long-term value to our homes. It’s the season of optimism — and the perfect moment to introduce new colour, pattern and improved light control.
